Best Xmas Song Ever... (Knock Out Stages)

Well, that was exciting, Jona Lewis went to war with The Darkness, and won, congratulations to him.

He joins Mariah Carey in the the quarter final stages of this AMAZING competition which really has taken to UK by storm.

Also, following lots of rearranged matches (due to flooded pitches) a whole raft of other entrants have also progressed into the Quarter Final Stages.

Congratulations to Wham!, Elton John, Bing & Bowie, Pogues & Kirsty, The Waitresses and Chris Rea; who all defeated Nat King Cole, Band Aid, Slade, Andy Williams, Reuben and Johnny Mathis respectively.

This gives us some mouthwatering match-ups...

Mariah Carey Vs Chris Rea
Jona Lewis Vs The Waitresses
Wham! Vs The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl
Elton John Vs Bing Crosby & David Bowie

Four quarter finals, and coincidentally only four sleeps until Xmas!

Best Xmas Song Ever... (KO Round 2)

Well, the first knock-out round was close, very close.

We went venturing around twelve of Leamington's finest drinking establishments quizzing the good people of Royal Leamington Spa, and it was Mariah Carey who came out the winner, hard luck to Chris De Burgh.

So, onto out next knock-out round...

Jona Lewis' 'Stop the Cavalry'

Vs

The Darkness' 'Don't Let The Bells End'

An oldie versus (relatively) a newie (not to be confused with Jona Lewis!).

Best Xmas Song Ever... (Last 16)

OK, so I've got a bit behind on this, and there are not many days to Xmas, so this one goes to the public vote.

It's Chris De Burgh with 'A Spaceman Came Travelling' or Mariah Carey with 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.

Chris De Burgh or Mariah Carey ?

Chris De Burgh...

or Mariah Carey ?

Chris or Mariah?
